Montserrat Ruiz def. Janaisa Morandin

Early in the first round, both fighters enjoyed some success in the striking department. The finish came after Ruiz was able to complete a head and arm throw and wrap up one of Morandin’s arms with her legs. Ruiz landed some nice ground and pound which opened up the opportunity for the keylock submission. A great win for Montserrat Ruiz who bounces back from her first professional set back and earns her first win with the promotion.

Erin Blanchfield def. Brogan Walker-Sanchez

The fight followed a similar scenario all the way through three rounds; close striking exchanges with Blanchfield favouring boxing combinations whilst Sanchez had success with leg kicks. It was Blanchfield’s grappling that proved to be the x-factor in this match up. She was able to secure takedowns in each round, pass the guard and land some solid ground and pound. Blanchfield came close to finishing the fight in the last minute with relentless ground and pound but has to settle for a dominant decision victory. At only 21 years old, Erin Blanchfield is definitely someone to keep your eye on.

Bryce Logan def. Jacob Rosales

In the main event of the evening, the lightweight title was on the line. Jacob Rosales started out the fight as the busier man but Bryce Logan implemented a movement heavy approach was able to avoid conceding any meaningful strikes. The tide turned in the second round as Logan dropped Rosales with a stiff jab. From there, Logan stayed on his bike and picked off Rosales is he overcommitted. Rosales started to have more success in the final round by pushing the pace but the judges agreed that Bryce Logan did enough to come away with the belt. With the LFA belt around his waist, Bryce Logan will definitely be on the radar of major organisations.

Nick Browne def. Ben Egli

Two dangerous grapplers battled it out in the co-main event. Nick Browne controlled the action on the feet with some nice combinations and higher activity. Browne was also able to largely dominate the grappling exchanges in the first two rounds and maintain top position. Egli had much more success in the third round as he was able to repeatedly clinch Browne up and initiate the grappling. Egli had some nice submission attempts including an armbar and a leg lock, however, Browne was savvy enough to defend and pick up a unanimous decision win. It is likely that Browne is next in line for the lightweight title after this win.

Joaquin Buckley def. Jackie Gosh

This was a rematch of their 2016 fight in Bellator where Jackie Gosh won by knockout in the first round. Joaquin Buckley established the centre of the cage and pressured Gosh back whilst landing heavy blitzes. The end came in the second round after Buckley dropped Gosh with a powerful straight right before putting the finishing touches with a 3 punch combination. This was a very composed performance from Joaquin Buckley who avenged his previous loss and will now be looking to continue his rise.

Bruno Azeredo def. Mike Santiago

Azeredo immediately established his range and had success with straight punches as well as kicks to the legs and the body. The Brazilian upped the pace in the second round when he was able to clinch Santiago up against the cage. From there, Azeredo unloaded knees to head and the body which left his opponent visibly hurt. Santiago shot for a takedown but was stuffed which allowed Azeredo to wrap up an anaconda choke and put the UFC veteran to sleep.

Do Gyeom Lee def. Alexandru Chitorian

After a patient opening with both fighters trying to make reads, Lee was able to time a counter knee which dropped Chitoran. From there, Lee followed up with a barrage of strikes for the T/KO. This win marks Lee’s first defence of his UAE Warriors featherweight title.

Usman Nurmagomedov def. Jerry Kvarnstrom

A one-sided fight where Nurmagomedov patiently picked Kvarnstrom apart. Nurmagomedov showed some good kicks as well as a nice body punch. The finish came after Usman secured a trip from the clinch and unloaded ground and pound forcing the referee to step in.

Louis Glismann def. Henri Lintula

Glismann looked like the more comfortable striker and was able to land some heavy leg kicks as well as having success when leaping in with winging shots. The Dane was also able to control the fight on the ground and secured a rear-naked choke after taking Lintula’s back. A solid win for Glinsmann who has established himself as one of the best submission grapplers in his weight class in Europe.

Muhammad Mokaev def. Glenn McVeigh

A highly anticipated debut for Muhammad Mokaev went about as expected. The amateur phenom was able to control the fight for three rounds. Early in the fight, Mokaev showcased his striking landing some good body shots. As the fight went on Mokaev established his grappling and dominated from top position. It was also a gutsy performance from McVeigh who stepped up on short notice and gave a good account of himself.

Anton Turkalj def. Athanasios Herkeletzis

A dominant performance from Anton Turkalj which he started off with a Werdum-esque flying kick. Turkalj was able to quickly secure a takedown and landed straight into mount. He eventually transitioned to the back and unloaded with elbows for the stoppage.
